The statement given in the question is "TRUE", The infections carried out by chlamydia species can be transmitted directly or indirectly. The direct methods include sexual contact as it can infect sexual organs, eyes and throat. However, it can also be transmitted indirectly. For example 'Trachoma' which occurs by the infection of the bacterium "Chlamydia trachomatis" can spread indirectly by Flies(Arthropods) that have made a contact with the infected persons nose or eyes. Flies are considered to be the vectors of the said disease.
