Using the information provided in the background and introduction section of this lab as a guide, write out the chemical reactions that took place during the following steps. Use the correct Full structural formula (draw the bonds) of all chemical species you include in the reaction equation.

1. Addition of 5 mL 1M HCl to the solution of the three component mixture in ethyl acetate. (2 pts)

2. Addition of 5 mL saturated NaHCO3 to organic layer A. (2 pts)

3. Addition of saturated NaHCO3 to the HCl wash. (2 pts)

4. Addition of HCl to the NaHCO3 wash. (2 pts)

CONTENTS OF 3 COMPONENT MIXTURE INCLUDE: Benzoic Acid, 4-chlorobenzaldehyde, and 4-chloroanaline.
