If OH group is down side at hemiacetal carbon then it forms alpha glycosidic bond and if it is above side , forms beta glycosidic bond.

Here in 2, it is alpha glycosidic bond connected to 4 the carbon of other glucose ring.

1 has beta glycosidic bond and 3 has alpha glycosidic bond.
