I agree with this statement. Sport and exercise psychologists have a wide variety of roles in the field of sports and exercise.

Sport and exercise psychologists have a wide variety of roles such as coach, physical therapist, athletic trainer, psychologist and so on. A coach is an overall team leader who boosts team spirit, athletic skills and also motivates the group members and he has a major role in managing the team. A coach is always a good teacher and a good friend. An athletic trainer prevents and treats any injuries related to sport and exercise. He set short and long-range goals for the injured physically active people. The psychologist provides mental and emotional counseling to the athletes to maximize their skills and potential to deal with emotional and physical stress. Sports and exercise psychologists teach many mental skills to perform consistently in training and competition, increases adherence to sports and exercise.

Sport and exercise psychologists deal with goal setting, focusing, relaxation, concentration and time management. Goal setting is very necessary for the athletes. There are mainly two types of goals short-range goals and long-range goals. With the help of sport and exercise psychologist, selectively select the specific goals and work for the attainment of that goal. The main components of goal setting include assessment planning outcome and evaluation of that particular goal.

Sports and exercise psychologists improve attention and concentration of athletes to deal effectively with their current situation. The help to deal with distractions and improve concentration and awareness.

Communication skills are also necessary for the athlete for group participation, individual interaction, etc. Sport and exercise psychologists teach essential communication skills needed for the athletes to create an open and free environment.

Anxiety management has a key role in athletics life. Sports and exercise psychologist helps to reduce anxiety through various techniques such as breathing exercise, imagery or visualization meditation, etc. This will helps reduce anxiety, anger, stress, etc.

Sport and exercise psychologist helps to improve team Spirit. The team spirit that can be achieved through good communication trust respect and a common goal. Time management has a crucial role in athletes' life they, help to plan the activities time-bounded.
