The medicare is a health insurance program providing hospital amd medical insurance for the Americans who are ator above 65 years of age or older

The Medicare and Medicaid legislation (1965),was signed into law as an amendment to the social security act of 1935.

On july 30,1965,President Lyndon B.Johnson signs the Medicare,a health insurance program for elderly Americans into law.

During the bill signing ceremony,which was taken place at the Truman Library in Independence Missouri,The former president Harry Truman was enrolled as the Medicare's first beneficiary and received the first Medicare card.

Here according to the Medicare and Medicaid Legislation (1965) Medicare,is a health insurance programme for the elderly and Medicaid,is a health insurance program for the poor.

Through this bill of Medicare and Medicaid,President Johnson promising that they would improve a wide range of health and medical services for Americans of all ages.

Through this legislation of Medicare and Medicaid of 1965,which provides low cost hospitalization and medical insurance..

This legislation or the bill was the part Johnson's social reform movement known as the "Great Society"which set goals to eliminate poverty and racial injustice.

The Medicaid is funded by the federal government and each state.The federal government pays to the states for a share of program expenditure,called as the Federal Medical Assistance (FMAP) based on per capita income and criteria.

\rightarrowAffordable Care Act is also called as ACA/PPACA/Obama Care.

It is a comprehensive health care reform law enacted in March 2010.

The Presient Obama signed into law,the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act also known as ACA .

The Affordable Care Act is the most comprehensive reformto health care in United States since the Medicare and Medicaid legislation 1965.

The ACA act isthe first initiative of President Obama is passed as the direct result of rising health care costs in the United States.

The law is passed with 3 primary goals such as:

*The law provides consumers with subsidies such as "Premium Tax Credits" that heps to lower the costs for households with income between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level.Thus make the health insurance more affordable and avilable to more people

*Expand the Medcaid Program to cover alladults with income below 138% of the federal poverty level

*Support innovative medical care delivery methods designed tolower the costs of health care generally.
