                               = 15.44 g/ 16 g/mol

                               = 0.965

moles Oxygen (O )    = 0.965
                          
molar mass M = 100 - 15.44 / 0.965 =87.6 g/mol

element for which the molar mass is 87.6 g/mol

molar mass of strontium Sr = 87.6 g/mol

so the metal is Strontium

that is SrO
