Person-centered therapy is based for empowering an individual with self-sufficiency and creativity. It also connects the social and emotional parts of an individual. It has a scientific basis and therefore it is really helpful for the education of the children. In this theory it is believed that children are born with needs. Therefore the educators and counselors must provide unconditional support to the children.

Person-centered therapy is directly related to those who suffer from mild or moderate mental disability. It is generally involved with individual counseling. The model of person-centered therapy helps the educators and counselors to guide the children with proper method in innovative education setting. At the same time it also increases the ethical value of an individual.    

Relationship between the educator and the students is the main point of focus in the person-centered therapy. The relationship must be open and familiar. With empathy the educator can get access in the world of the students. Character and attitude of the educator must be pure and clear.

In this article Boyer’s purpose is to give a clear idea of the education of the early childhood. It is a difficult period but crucial for education. Boyer says that this type of therapy creates a safe environment for the children and it is “warm and low conflict”.

This article is really helpful to the children, parents and educators. As it emphasizes the importance between children and educator relation, the parents are satisfied and naturally the advancement is also satisfactory.

This article is also importance as it gives importance on the environment setting. It promotes a fearless safe atmosphere for the children.

Besides, Boyer stresses on the role of empathy and honesty from educator’s side and naturally there is a positive feedback.

Person-centered therapy can be applied easily in the classroom. It is really effective both to children and educators.
