The long-term care insurance is not popular in the United States due to these reasons:
1. People with low-income have Medicaid facilities. It provides safety net to individuals who do not have enough income and insurance plan to support the care plan. It is free-of-charge policy.
2. People with high-income can pay for their self-insurance, and can pay for their medical facilities.
3. Some people get indirectly covered under their spouse’s or children’s health plan. So they don’t feel the need of other care plan.
