An interesting topic on distillation is one that occurs regularly in our nature without any intervention from us it is solar distillation. As the name suggests solar heat energy heats up the sea water so water gets vaporized and slowly raise to higher and higher atmospheric layers. After enough water evaporated they form clouds and travel in higher atmospheres as they hit cooler surfaces they start to condense and form water droplets and eventually fall down as rain. This water is pure meaning has no salts or minerals in them hence ready to drink. This process is natural desalination of sea water by nature via distillation. This kind of distillated water makes up the most of fresh water rivers we use to meet all our daily water needs.
