Answer #1

Answer 1.

To find the strength of each solutions,

As the saline is the solvent

And out of the total solvent its 1/3 part is solute, that is hydrogen peroxide.

To find the exact volume of both the solute and the solvent from the given question.,

480 ml of 1/3 strength for wound irrigation.

480 ml X 1/3 = 160 ml.

The amount of solute ( hydrogen peroxide ) is 160 ml.

Out of 480 ml of total volume, 160 ml is hydrogen peroxide.

So, 480 ml - 160 ml = 320 ml saline as solvent.

Hence, 160 ml = Hydrogen peroxide.( solute)

& 320 ml = saline.( solvent ).

Total= 480 ml.
