3) Heat the compound, if the mass reduces, it is a hydrate as some water has evaporated

4)Moles of CuSO4.5 H2O = Volume in Liters * Molarity = 50 * 10-3 * 1 = 0.05 moles

Mass = moles * molar mass = 0.05 * 250 = 12.5 g
