Answer #1

Answer: Nowadays the healthcare organization are using advanced technology for providing improved health care to the patients. Earlier there were lots of paperwork which use to consume more time, but now those data are being recorded electronically which saves time and lead to health care professionals to work smoothly. All the data are saved electronically and at one place which reduces the frequency of lost records and increases the efficiency and lowers the cost. It also improves billing procedures. Electronic health record systems usually focus on the individual patient care provided by clinicians and hospitals. Electronic health record systems apart from saving patient's health records it also helps in many ways such as guideline reminders, electronic alerts and automatic monitoring of quality of care indicators. EHR systems reduces the risk of medical errors such as adverse drug interactions etc. It also provide medical history data available during emergency care within no time.

The negative impact of using the electronic health record is that sometimes while entering the data, mistakes occurs. Whenever records is being saved in a computer we have to be careful about protecting the data from unauthorized access.
