Answer #1

ABG-Arterial Blood Gas.

As per the given results it is Respiratory alkalosis. In Respiratory alkalosis, the Ph level is greater than normal (>7.45) and carbon dioxide is reduced(<35mmHg). The status of the patient is base.

The compensation level of respiratory alkalosis is for every 10mmHg decrease in PCO2 there will be drop in HCO3-decrease by 2mmol/L. If PCO2 reduces 10mmHg that is 20mmHg that relatively reduces the HCO3- by 2mmol/l that is 21L

The compensation limit is HCO3- 18mmol/L.
