Case #4 – Bob (male) is a 37 year old car salesman who is single and would like to live an active lift outside of work. Bob is an avid tennis player and would like a program to help him improve his game. Bob stands 5’11” and weighs 165 pounds, has a body fat percentage of 8 percent, and a resting blood pressure of 112 / 64. Bob regularly suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and has had open heart surgery to replace a valve two years ago.

4A) Students will include the case scenario and write a brief summary about the health condition and make recommendations (medical clearance) if needed.

4B) Students will put together an exercise program that must include the following: cardiorespiratory conditioning, strength training, and flexibility exercises for that particular individual based on the F.I.T.T. principle, which MUST be in the program. Warm-up and cool-down must also be included in the program

4A) Mr.Bob who has underwent heart valves rreplacement. The main reason for him to get this at this age apart from being healthy and in his right BMI is Rheumatoid arthritis. A condition in which inflammation occurs in the joint cells.This can directly affect the hear muscles namely endothelium,heart valves and pericardial space to cause inflammation. Moreover his fat consumption is nearly 8% of his weight ideally it is little higher. The average recommendation is less than 7%.These would have preceded him to thebhrthe heart disease.

The patient has to be informed to keep a track of his blood pressure, pulse rate,any shortness of breath ,swelling, fever,cough,avoid strenous exercises, diet modification, regular follow up

4B)According to FITT principle he should do exercise for 5 days a week, Warm up for 5-20 minutes and cool down for 10-15 minute ,an average time of 20-30 minutes continuously or intermittently. The type of exercise should be aerobics,.The heart rate should be maintained around u0-80% of maximum heart rate.

Exercises like walking ,running,biking ,in door games can help.
