Regarding Verilog HDL ... You have a timing problem. Looking at the timing report you see that one particular net delay is considerably larger than the other net delays. However, the fanouts are all roughly the same. What is the most likely problem and how would you solve it?

Answer #1

For calculating the net delay we have to find out intrinsic resistance and capacitance of the path. It depends upon fan out , length and area of the logic gates. Hence the physical measurements of the wire / logic gate may be higher than the others.

You have a timing problem. Looking at the timing report you see that a period constraint has been violated. There are two possible solutions: (a) retiming the data path, or (b) manually pipelining the data path. Explain how each solution addresses the timing problem. (in Verilog and FPGA design)

In the context of a one factor APT model, you are looking at the following three portfolios: Portfolio Expected return Factor sensitivity A 6 1.05 B 13 0.76 C 13 1.47 If you construct a composite portfolio "D" from B and C that has the same factor sensitivity as portfolio A, (similar to previous problem) and then go long D and short A (or the other way around) to create a riskless arbitrage profit, what would be your expected return?...

1.) Problem: You are applying for jobs after graduating and are looking at a particular company. You've heard that they don't pay women as much as men starting out and want to test it at the p<.01 level before deciding to work there. Luckily you are able to get publicly available salary information and randomly select the starting salary of 7 women and 6 men to see if women are paid less than men at this company. The salaries of...

The net present value (NPV) rule is considered one of the most common and preferred criteria that generally lead to good investment decisions. Consider this case: Suppose Lumbering Ox Truckmakers is evaluating a proposed capital budgeting project (project Beta) that will require an initial investment of $2,750,000. The project is expected to generate the following net cash flows: Year Cash Flow Year 1 $275,000 Year 2 $450,000 Year 3 $475,000 Year 4 $475,000 Lumbering Ox Truckmakers’s weighted average cost of...

Small Mean Problem. Grandfather clocks have a particular market in auctions. One theory about the price at an auction is that it is higher when there are 10 or more bidders. From published data, the average price of all grandfather clocks is given as $1,327. You are not given a standard deviation for all clocks. You are given a random sample of 14 purchases of grandfather clocks at auctions in Pennsylvania where there are 10 or more bidders. Assume your...
