Smog is ofcourse a problematic issue as it can causeany health problems like asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis and other respiratory diseases as well. It can also cause eye irritation and the ozone in smog inhibits the growth of plants.

The formation of smog can be lowered by reducing products that releases volatile organic compounds.

Avoid the use of gas powered equipments like lawn roller.

Drive less because cars run on gasoline produces nitrogen dioxide as a byproduct and this can lead to the formation of smog.

Yes the low visibility of the ocean in San Diego is due to smog formation.
