Answer #1

1) When you have an ion-type particle dissolved in solution, these particles have both negative and positive charges, when an electric current is passed, the difference of charges favor the conduction of said electric charge, however when the particle is not an ion may not favor and even disadvantage the conduction of current through the solution.

2) Dialysis is the separation of substances that are together or mixed in the same solution, through a membrane that filters them.

Osmosis is a type of diffusion, where molecules move through a semipermeable membrane and become a more concentrated solution of a more dilute solution.

It's a weak acid strong base titration Experiment 4: Identification of an unknown acid by titration Page 2 of 15 Background In this experiment, you will use both qualitative and quantitative properties to determine an unknown acid's identity and concentration. To do this analysis, you will perform a titration of your unknown acid sample-specifically a potentiometric titration where you use a pH meter and record pH values during the titration, combined with a visual titration using a color indi- cator...

    10. Write a one-page summary of the attached paper? INTRODUCTION Many problems can develop in activated sludge operation that adversely affect effluent quality with origins in the engineering, hydraulic and microbiological components of the process. The real "heart" of the activated sludge system is the development and maintenance of a mixed microbial culture (activated sludge) that treats wastewater and which can be managed. One definition of a wastewater treatment plant operator is a "bug farmer", one who controls the aeration...
