Ans) Needs assessment is a way of identifying and addressing the needs of a particular community.

Example: It can be in a form of nursing assessment examples which assesses the areas of improvement that a nursing station or department needs to develop.

- A program plan is the outline of events and activities that your members follow to reach the goals of the organization. A successful program plan provides detail and shows how each activity supports your organization's mission.

- Process Evaluation Measures effort and the direct outputs of programs/interventions – what and how much was accomplished (i.e., exposure, reach, knowledge, attitudes, etc.). Examines the process of implementing the communication program/intervention and determines whether it is operating as planned.

- The discrepancy approach to needs assessment facilitates short- and long-term planning processes necessary for effective leadership and flexibility in our rapidly changing culture. Needs assessment may be used to develop program standards as a process of formative evaluation and as a process of summative evaluation
