ANSWERS

QUESTION 10

    A. Sensitivity

              Formula = True positive / (True positive + True negative) *100.

              True positive of TB = 190

              True negative of TB = 10

                So

                  Sensitivity = 190 / (190 +10) * 100

                                 = 190 / 200 *100

                                   = 95%

QUESTION 14

       C. The Predictive values.

                     * Both positive and negative predictive values are influenced by the prevalence of

                        disease in a population.

                     * If the test conducted in a high prevalence setting the person who test positive

                       truly have the disease than test is performed in a low prevalence setting.
