The most important thing to do for a nurse when they are approached by homosexual clients with AIDS is,become aware of their own attitude towards homosexuality. Self-awareness is the biggest factor that determines the attitude towards anything. The situation arises here also not different. Attitude towards homosexuality differs from person to persons. It is important to have the right attitude towards homosexuality and AIDS, by the detailed assessment, especially for a nursing practitioner. Many people think that AIDS can not be contagious within homosexual people. All the misconceptions towards homosexuality are to be cleared.
