Not for Profit Organization or Entity are those organizations that provide services to society or communities either free of cost or just with nominal money. A Not For Profit Organization or Non-Profit Organization (N.P.O) has following essential features.
Not for profit Organization are classified into two categories i.e., that are Governmental and non governmental organizations.
Not for Profit Organization includes- educational, health, religious, community, sports, cultural and social organizations.
The following are the major categories of NFPO.
General government-NFPO includes, federal, state, districts, town, city, blocks and villages
Educational Organization-that includes university, college,vocational and non vocational teaching and school and library.
