Suspect 1 is shown to be homozygous for D1S80 and the band corresponds to approximately 430 bp. Can this suspect be eliminated? How many repeats of D1S80 are present in this individual’s genome?

(b) Suspect 2 is heterozygous for D1S80, with bands of approximately 430 bp and 530 bp. Can this suspect be eliminated? How many repeats of D1S80 are present in this individual’s genome?

The most common alleles are comprised of 18to 24 repeat units..genetic differences between individual identifying every possible difference in their DNA..It need more cost and time..when using DNA identification,it is must to identify region of DNA that have high variability between individual..when each VNTRs and DNA simultaneously compared VNTR locus two people alleles may match by chance sometime.. Because the size difference regulates focus in the D1S80 locus on the order of more pairs..VNTR analysis done based on the STR analysis and for DNA identification...Difference between one locus instead of the 20usually used for criminal forensic data..
