Answer #1

Percent mass of ammonium chloride = [(60.468 - 60.466) / 2.285 g] x 100% = 0.09 %

Percent mass of sand = [(2.594 - 1.241) / 2.285 g] x 100% = 59 %

Percent mass of sodium chloride = [(142.874 - 141.869) / 2.285 g] x 100% = 44 %

Sum of percent masses = 0.09 % + 59 % + 44 % = 103.09 %

Hi Dear, i just did calculation based on your input, it seems to be some error present as sum of percent masses should be always = 100 % only, but you got 103.09 % this means additional 3.09 % should be deducted from any of the sample and then show it to your professor!

Hope this helped you!
