9) The proximal ligand in cytochrome p450 has the capability of the binding oxygen molecules which makes difference between it and myoglobin proximal ligand.

10) In the cytoplasm P450 reaction mechanism, after the oxygen binding to the iron, it acts as an oxidative electrode. With the help of alkyl-substituted heteroatoms, it appears to act as a base to help remove an alpha-proton and oxygen rebound to the incipient carbon.
