Acetone + NaOCI + ACOH In the given reaction NaCl and AcOH reacts to give HOCI which is an oxidizing agent in the reaction. Acetone is used as solvent so we need not calculate any quantity of acetone. Volume of cyclohexanol = mass/density = 0.150g/0.960g/mL = 0.156 mL NaOCI solution is present as an aqueous solution and all equivalents are already calculated as an excess reagent. We are taking 1.6 equivalents and that gives 6.0 mL. Hence need not calculate any amounts of NaOCI solution Cyclohexanone is the product hence we will calculate theoretical yield. Cyclohexanol is the limiting reagent and as 1 equivalent of cyclohexanol should give 1 euivalent of cyclohexanone, 1.5 mmol of cyclohexanol is expected to give 1.5 mmol of cyclohexanone.
