Caring- caring includes promoting health, hope and confidence in the patient. Giving guidance, assistance or care according to the need.

Altruism- Helping without any selfish motive and purely out of ones own heart or interest.

Autonomy- plans care taking patient into consideration rather than just imposing ones own decisions

Integrity- Nurse works honestly and is accountable for ones own actions, do not hide any mistakes and try to resolve them, documents correctly.

Human dignity- Knows the values and beliefs of the patient and respects it. Provides privacy

Social justice- provides care equally to all patients irrespective for there caste, creed, sex etc. Avoids discrimination of patients.

Nursing standards

Nursing standards are set by the autonomous bodies which help to evaluate the health Organization and provide best care to the patients

Nurses become more responsible and accountable.

Helps to identify the best practices through research and implement it for the betterment of patients.

Nursing standard care and performance gives a map for nurses to work and also there outcome can be evaluated.
