Whenever a marketing campaign is conducted, a survey is important for the upcoming project. To attend a success in the project one needs to design a survey to achieve clear goals. When deciding to run a survey, one need to understand its goals and objectives.

Surveys are one of the best ways to get input from potential doctors and nurses and existing patient customers before you’ve invested too much time or capital in a new venture. The surveys allow organizations to keep a finger on the pulse of their current clients or audience so they can be alert to any unusual shifts, either positive or negative.

Before one starts a survey you need to create a checkbox, wherein the involvement of the stakeholders is a must to determine the exact purpose of the survey, and what you hope to accomplish. Once you’ve set out these goals, you can more easily select and refine the more detailed objectives. This helps all concerned parties know what action to be taken based on the survey results.

There are two types of stakeholders. Namely, internal stakeholders which are people who work within your organizational structure. They can be your events team, coworkers, your boss, or your boss’ boss and the board of directors. There are also external stakeholders, who are people that you don’t work with, but who have some relationship in the project or hospital and are be positively or negatively affected by its outcomes. They can be your sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, paying attendees, association members, speakers etc; etc,.

The data from surveys, testimonials, sales and marketing campaigns can help you identify what your external stakeholders like, dislike and what they hope to achieve by participating in your project. That information will influence them and have a positive attitude in your project.

Unlike consumer packaged goods or financial services, the purchase of most healthcare products and services hospital activities are generally not optional. There are many questions that need to be answered in order to maintain a healthy business.

In the healthcare market business like hospital there are many agencies involved like Pharmaceutical companies, medical device, supplies and equipment businesses, primary and secondary Care Facilities like hospitals, nursing homes, healthcare providers like doctors, nurses, pharmacists and finally, patients who need products and services provided by any of the above.

Now to achieve the goals of the survey you should decide whether to use qualitative, quantitative, or both types of research to ask questions and collect data.

Personal interviews with the groups as well as diary studies or surveys often deal with very sensitive health issues. It may be easier to interview a doctor in person, and patients in a group or an online survey. Often, a combination of methods and respondent groups will provide an optimal set of findings to answer your questions of the survey.

During the survey, when formulating questions, you should measure how people react to the relative importance of certain product features, or feelings about price points.

When formulating questions, you may wish to measure how people react to the relative importance of certain product features, or feelings about price points. This is a unique technique known as conjoint analysis which can help to predict the acceptance and probability of the project based on which several different options are presented.
