Answer #1

Here ,

radius , r = 4.5 m

Time period , T = 36 s

a) angular speed , w = 2pi/T = 2pi/36

w = 0.174 rad/s

average speed = R * w

average speed = 4.5 * 0.174

average speed = 0.783 m/s

b) for the time taken to fall

t = sqrt(2 * (2R + h)/g)

t = sqrt(2 * (2 * 4.5 + 1.75)/9.8)

t = 1.481 s

NOw, for the distance from the base

distance from the base = 1.481 * 0.783

distance from the base = 1.16 m

    ONLY NEED ANSWER TO PART (A + B) Some amusement parks have a double Ferris wheel, which consists of two vertically rotating wheels that are attached to each other by a bar that also rotates. There are eight gondolas equally spaced on each wheel. Riders experience a combination of two circular motions that provide a sensation more thrilling than the classic single Ferris wheel. In particular, riders experience the greatest sensation when their rate of change in height is the...
