Answer: Culture plays major role in influencing pain perception and acceptable treatment options. Due to diversity in the population, the healthcare professionals have major challenges in providing quality of care to the patients. Different cultures have their own belief and values. Some people can tolerate the high intensity of pain, those patients have strong moral beliefs bears pain. The situation of patient such as having low socioeconomic status or having personal issues with their family members suffers from major pain. So, these things affect the treatment as by providing cultural competence environment to the patients, the healthcare professionals can easily incorporate the medications, therapy as well as traditional methods that are used in the patient's culture.
