Answer #1

As there must be twice as many lithium ions as sulphide ions, the 'numbers' must be different.
It's 4:8. i.e. 4 sulphides around each lithium; and 8 lithiums around each sulphur.
It's an antifluorite structure. 4,8

Depends on where the ions are in the cell.
If the ion is at a corner, one-eigth belongs to that cell, because it's shared amongst eight cells.
If it's in the centre, it all belongs to that cell, because its not shared with any other cell.
If its along a side, one-quarter belongs toi that cell, because it's shared amongst 4 cells.   4

VO) L1 L2 Line VO LI Power Calculations Learning Goal: In this tutorial, you will practice the calculation of power in circuits containing loads, including the effects of non-ideal transmission lines, and practice how to improve the power factor for an entire system. Many appliances (eg., hair dryers, coffee makers, and refrigerators) and industrial loads are powered by AC sources. The ability to be able to calculate their power needs is important in a number of situations. Before completing this...

If we assume that x is very small compared to 0.00250, the first iteration gives x=(0.00250×4.5×10−4)1/2=0.00106. Even though the assumption is not valid, it seems likely that [HNO2] is closer to (0.00250−0.00106)M than to 0.00250 M. Substitute the new value into the original equation to obtain the second iteration, x20.00250−0.00106=4.5×10−4 and then x=8.04×10−4. Now, we can restrict x to the following range: 8.04×10−4<x<1.06×10−3 Use the new value of x to write that [HNO2]=(0.00250−0.000804)M and solve the equation once again for...

Please answer al three questions. Thank you!! I Review I Constants I Periodic Table When a chemical reaction occurs, atoms rearrange to form new compounds, but no new atoms are created nor are any destroyed. This concept is called conservation of Part A mass. Mass conservation can be seen in a balanced chemical equation, where the numbers of each kind of atom are the same on both sides of the reaction arrow. The figure (Figure 1) shows the reaction of...
