propiophenone is a conjugate carbonyl group with bezene ring hence ddue to conjugation C=O stretching frequency lowers down to 1690 cm-1 typical of conjugated ketone

whereas in 1-phenyl-2-propanone it is non-conjugate aliphatic ketone with phenyl as substituents hence its C=O stretching frequency will appearat normal 1710 cm-1

In case of ethylbenzaldehyde we have an aldehyde group C=O stretching frequency will appear at 1720 cm-1

hence these three can be easily distinguished by IR from their C=O stretching frequency
