Individual performance in the organization: This is defined as the performance demonstrated by the employee in the organization in the given time period i.e. in one year time period, is known as the individual performance in the organization.

The individual performance can be affected by various factors in the organization. The manager has the ability to judge the difference between the motivational problem factor or other factors which had effected the performance of the employee.

Managers distinguish a motivational problem from other factors that affect an individual’s performance: The manager had a good skill of assessing the issues of factors responsible for the issues going on in employees mind. Thus there are several factors which can impact in the performance of the employees.

The motivational factor can be assessed by the manager are as below

  • The mood of the employee: The mood of the employee can be helpful in assessing the motivational factor of the employee.
  • Energy level of the employee: The energy level of the employee can be helpful in assessing the motivational factor of the employee.
  • Interest shown by the employee: The interest shown by the employee in routine work activities, will help to assess the motivational factor of the employee.
  • Interaction pattern of employee with team members: the pattern of discussion of the individual is can become a base for understanding the lack of motivational issues in the employee.
  • Behavior of employee with manager of others: The manager will be able to judge the overall issues in the employee base don his interaction way with other team members of other employees of the organization. This will be helpful to judge whether he is in tension or pressure.
