Walmart has been one of the biggest retail chain market company in the world for many years now. Walmart indulges in retail marketing of departmental items, groceries, and all other items that impact day to day life. It is famous for throwing up discounts on many essential products once in a while which attract a lot of customers. However, the recent few years have not been as productive as it is used to , due to the introduction of many such retail marketing giants entering the retail market. There has been a stiff competition among these super markets to gain more and more customer share in the market with attractive discount being offered almost few times a week. In this stage of competition from big marketing giants, Walmart must focus on some of basic improvements which could help regain its market share and lead the super market industry. One of such improvements could easily be its customer service. In recent years, it has been reported once here and there that the behavior of the Walmart staff or customer support was not satisfactory. This is the basic or the root at which a company can sustain in market. The more the customers are happy with the services, the more they will come again and may also bring other prospective customers along with them. Another important improvement could be the availability of items according to the location it is set up in. This is very important and constitutes a huge proportion in the gain or loss of a business. Walmart should first investigate as to which type of items are more popular or more being bought in a particular area or location and then make those items more available and reduce the availability of those items which are less demanded. Another critical improvement could be the digital services to be more fast and secure. Today’s world is digital and fast. In this regard, Walmart should focus of better home deliveries and digital payments should be made more secure and faster. The After sales services should also see a much improvement, as it is the after sales services that highly impacts the customers. Last but not the least, Walmart must respect the feelings of the people of the location it is set up in and should not keep or endorse those products which may hurt the local sentiments. Walmart has ben one of the leading super markets in the world, and owing to the follow up of these improvements could regain its leading status.
