Answer #1

Walmart has been 504 billion dollar giant and Fortune 500 company incorporating industry wide best practices in retail markets like Germany with implementation of Supply Chain management and Total quality management with best of breed technology lkke Artificial intelligence and Machine learning to gauge customer experience and seller performance .

The firm entered through acquisition routes in Germany . Acquired 74 hypermarkets from Spar Handels and developed its own retail chain. Walmart drastically turnedaround entire business with establishing synergies and cost cutting measures.

However later the market consolidated to great extent causing smaller retailers forced to shut down and massive protests took place. This resulted walmart to force and pack bags back to America beacusr of massive unemployment creation and lack of solid culture.

Walmart could have averted situation by integration of smaller retailers and integrating them as sellers on online platform and adopt massive local culture of Germany. It could have adopted economies of scale by integrating small stores as delivery huvs and also thereby increasing employment opportunities.
