It is so impractical to issue a health insurance policy without a medical test. A pre-medical test assesses the eligibility of the customer and ensures the insurer that the person is healthy and does not have any pre-existing disease. And for this it becomes necessary to undergo all the tests for a patient to claim a insurance. And also pre-medical tests are so useful that it can make a patient if he/ she is normal and healthy or not.
The customer has to bear the expenses of the tests, but the same is reimbursed post issuance of the policy. The common tests done to every patient include- blood test, sugar level, urine test, physical examination, and ECG and cholesterol level. We should always be transparent when giving our information to the insurer so that it will make our claims easier and faster.
Many insurance policies and companies now are paying for the patients or the claints for their pre-medical tests and claim for these tests are possible but it surely depends upon the type of health insurance policy that we have signed and taken. If the pre-medical tests which show that an individual is normal cannot be claimed in some policy schemes, then the cost should only be paid by the patient itself.
