6) Starch and glycogen used for energy storage. Both have compact structure. Both are made up of glucose unit. Starch is made up of amylose and amylopectin. Glycogen contain amylopectin unit. In which there is glycosidic linkage at different position.

7) Glycogen is found in animal and it has more branched structural unit whereas starch found in plant and have both linear, twisted amylose and amylopectin unit.

8) Cellulose and Chitin provide structure and strength.

9) Chitin is made up of glucose unit. It is analogous to cellulose except in place of hydroxy group there is acetyl amine group which provide mechanical strength through hydrogen Bonding. It is one of the primary component of cell wall. Cellulose also contain glucose unit. It is straight chain polymer and have lot of hydroxy group which form hydrogen Bonding with other hydrogen and oxygen of neighbouring group thus provide strength.
