Guys! I would like to ask something really stupid!
I am a pure math major and currently doing a project using Non-homogeneous Poisson Process.
And I am struggling with the definitions between Parametric and Non-parametric test towards Poisson Process.
Can anyone with stats background explain to me in what situation we do parametric(non-parametric) with Poisson Process?
Thank you!
Parametric test : This can be defined as the statistical test in which specific assumptions are made about the population parameter
Non Parametric test : This can be defined as the statistical test that can be used in case of non - metric independent variables
Measurement level of parametric test is " Interval or Ratio"
Measurement level of Non - Parametric test is " Nomial or Ordinal "
Here Correlation in parametric test is " Pearson "
Here Correlation in Non - Parametric test is " Spearmen"
Measure of central tendency of parametric test is " Mean "
Measure of central tendency of non - parametric test is " Median "
