Three masses are in a line, in contact, on a frictionless surface with the smallest mass 3 kg to the left, the intermediate mass 8 kg in the middle and the greatest mass 13 kg mass on the right. A 33 N force is applied horizontaly in the right direction to the smallest mass. Calculate the contact force (in N) between the smallest and the middle mass.

Answer #1

Concept: here we use Newton's law of motion for solution. Considering the masses as one system, because they move together we find their acceleration, and then the contact force,

masses move bgcther, ca be considarrea a system/f Sinc the 3 for A |28.875|N-Contac force***************************************************************************************************
