Concepts and reason

Two hydrogen atoms interact to form a hydrogen molecule. The stages of bond formation in a hydrogen molecule according to the predominant force exist between the two hydrogen atoms

Attractive forces are the force that arise between the two atoms by the gravitational force, electrostatic force and magnetic force of the molecule. The gravitational force is the mass dependent, the electrostatic force is the charge dependent that means positive charge is attracted by negative charge and the magnetic force, if the magnetic force that is applied to the molecule, then the force of attraction arises due to the magnetic field that is South Pole of magnet attracted by the North Pole of magnet.

Repulsive force arises between the positive charges of the atoms. Coulomb’s law explains about the repulsive force of the molecule. In general, if compressibility factor is less than 1, then repulsive force occurs.

Fundamentals

The forces and their conditions are listed as follows:

(1)If attractive force is predominant between the two atoms.

(2)If repulsive force is predominant between two atoms.

(3)If attractive and repulsive forces balance each other.

(4)If there is no interaction between the two atoms.

The following option is interrelated to each other:

List-1

(1)Attractive force is predominant between the two atoms.

List-2

(3) Two hydrogen atoms start to combine to form a hydrogen molecule.

(7) The two hydrogen atoms approach each other to form a bond.

List-1

(2) Repulsive force is predominant between two atoms.

List-2

(1)The internuclear distance between two hydrogen atoms is less than the bond length

(5) The potential energy at positive.
