It exceeds the value of the mean by no more than 2 standard deviations. D. It exceeds the value of the mean by more than 2 standard deviations. E. It does not exceed the value of the mean.
14 Twenty students were randomly divided into two groups. One group had to spend 15 minutes in a quiet room in total silence; the other group watched a 15-minute long collection of funny videos. Text messages sent by each student in the 10 minutes immediately after the experiment were counted. Based on the dot plot, which statement about the effect of the two experimental conditions is the most accurate? Texing Behavior - students assigned to watching videos students assigned to qulet room O000O number of text messages sent within 1o minutes after treatment A. The two groups showed similar texting behaviors B. The two groups showed substantial differences in texting behavior. c. The data indicates neither clear similarity nor clear differences in texting C behavior

Answer #1

Good question

The number of text messages sent by students in quite room is greater than number of text messages sent by students watching videos.

However, the pattern looks exact replica where if we add number of message by 6 messages to each student in silent room it will match with text message pattern observed for students watching videos

Thus, pattern wise both are similar
