It shows how Sony's TR followed a very unstable pattern, going up and down year after year.

It also shows difference in exchange rates between the dollar and yen over the years.

For e.g. in the year 2010, the US dollar depreciated too much and this led to Sony's earnings in yen and dollars to differ so much.
