This exchange demonstrates that there has dependably been a feeling of question between the two. Despite the fact that the local Americans appeared to be the ones who looked for harmony, at last it didn't turn out that path for them. It reviewed the brutality that was to come later on.

Here it demonstrated that indian needed the settlers to leave and tried John by requesting weapons and John can't, leaving an idea of indians not being trust commendable or worthy.
