1. Is modern culture so different from ancient culture in promoting aggression and violence in human relations, such as sports and even in daily life? Why or why not?
2. What modern social influences, if any promote emotional violence, and what if anything, can be done about it?

The ancient culture was a family culture, where people were staying together in a joint family, the grandparents were the head of the family, The younger generation was learning from them the social values, like how to respect elders, how to act in community, there was no fear that the child would leave the house, and parents would not have any control over the children.

People were not exposed to modern technology, childhood was growing amidst nature, we cannot say that it was free of any crime, there were incidents of crime, but community values were very strong. People use to be more religious.

Aggression and violence were always present on this earth, but the influence was small.

But in modern days the children from the schooling days are depressed and aggressive, this aggressiveness is the effects of today's economic and cultural norms, children are born with mobile in their hand, they are exposed to mobile culture, and parents are encouraging it, to keep children engaged they give any gadgets to the child and feel free , they do not monitor them, and the child at a very young age starts watching violence, it can be comedy, or fairy tale all have essence of violence.

The economic condition is also responsible for a child's negative behavior parents are busy to give a better lifestyle to their children, or if the parents are economically weak, in both the cases the child is getting neglected, that make him feel lonely.

The new cultural values like leaving the parents once the child is 18 years of age, is also one of the factors, the child who was under the care of parents, suddenly becomes free and he becomes confused unless one is well prepared, too much of liberalization has given rise to immoral culture, unwed mothers, teenage mothers who are not aware of the meaning of motherhood, becomes tense, depressed and child is neglected

A child requires love from both the parents if they are abused, neglected, and they become aggressive and violent, they take less interest in academic activities, leading to low esteem adulthood, drug abuse, alcoholic and one can involve himself in antisocial activities.

The sportsman spirit is becoming less; those are observed during the football league, or in any cricket matches. The audience lose their temper and start destroying the stadium and attacking people, the player is often seen pulling and pushing the other player, during Wimbledon tournament stabbing of Monica Seles, is an example of aggression, people have lost control and become too much involved with the favorite players.

In our daily life aggression that is anger and antipathy is seen at a large scale the terrorist activities are the result of anger and hate and feeling of revenge that turns into violence. Killing innocent people in world politics is a form of aggression to show the supremacy, the firing in the school campus by students is a form of aggression; these are the feeling of antipathy resulting into violent behavior and attack.

There are many unhealthy relationships it can be between parents and children between the couples, or those in a relationship, or it can happen between the friends, an emotional abuse bring the person's self-esteem low, the person may lose his confidence, and scare of emotional abuse is very deep and it can hurt a person's feeling and one can go into depression and mental disorders, the emotional abuse can take form of physical abuse also.

We cannot always blame modern technology and lifestyle, and social and economic situation, God has given us thinking power if one is atheist than also he has the ability to think, why we take refuge in drugs, alcohol, smoking, and anti-social activities, if the modern culture has provided better lifestyle better healthcare facilities, and better choices, we have to use it positively, and in that I always say the authoritative parents can play positive role.
