As the ball is in equilibrium, net frce acting on the ball must be zero.

Let T is the tension in the angled string.

Apply, net force on ball in y-direction, Fnety = 0

T*sin(50) - m*g = 0

T = m*g/sin(50)

= 2.5*9.8/sin(50)

= 32.0 N
