CHEMICAL DIGESTION:-

  1. Salivary amylase
  2. Pancreatic lipase
  3. Hydrochloric acid
  4. Pepsin.

When food we eat is churned by the help of teeth, tongue and mixed with the saliva is called bolus which swallows this process is called churning or mastication, and from buccal cavity to pharynx oesophagus and fundus to stomach, due to peristalsis movement of stomach,it moves and directed towards the intestine, in mean while the salivary amylase is mixed and breaks the larger complex polysaccharides to simple units and mixed with the saliva, the stomach produce HCl , pepsin enzyme which proteins are digested, HCl is produced by parietal cells of stomach, the food is further segmented with the help of haustral contraction and reaches to intestine in the mean while pancreatic lipase enzyme mix with chyme , trypsin chymotrypsin is added and digestion process finished by absorption, in the villi of small intestine , the other part is filtered as urine and faeces and released by urine or anus
