Answer #1

Drug receptors.

Drug receptor are located in cell membranes and recognise, bind to ligands.

There are 4 types of receptors 1)Ligand gated ion channels2) Intercellular receptors,3)G protein couple receptors4)Enzyme linked receptors.

Ligand gated channels opens a channel through membrane by binding with a ligand and allows specific ions to pass.

Intracellular receptors are located inside the cell and harmones uses this.

G protein couple receptor bind with ligand and activate G protien and it interacts with other enzym or ion channel in a membrane.

Engyme linked receptors have intracellular domains that associates with enzymes.

2) Upregulation of receptors.

It is a phenipheno in which cell increases the cell components such as RNA or protein due to the stimuli of external components.

Downregulation.

It is a phenomenon in which cell decreases the cell to decrease the quanitity of components such as protein or RNA due to external stimuli.
