As volume decreases, intermolecular distance between gas molecules decreases and number of collisions between gas molecules and with the wall of container increases hence pressure of gas increases.

As volume increases, intermolecular distance between gas molecules increases thus number of collisions between gas molecules and with the wall of container decreases hence pressure of gas decreases.

Thus, on changing volume of gas pressure changes. Both are inversely proportional to each other.
