Using Newton’s laws to explain everyday motion: Putting it all together
Bicycle ruined The brakes on a bus fail as it approaches a turn. The bus was traveling at the speed limit before it moved about 24 m across grass and hit a brick wall. A bicycle attached to a rack on the front of the bus was crushed between the bus and the brick wall. There was little damage to the bus. Estimate the average force that the bicycle and bus exert on the wall while stopping. Indicate any assumptions made in your estimate.
