The areas of motor cortex and their functions associated with it are represented by “homunculus.” The information regarding the sensations, which may be superficial, deep or visceral, is sent to the somatosensory area of cerebrum, where the stimulus is recognised and again the signals reach the effector organ, then we experience that particular sense.
The primary somatosensory cortex is arranged in series of homunculus. It sends information to the secondary somatosensory cortex, which produces perception.
Thus, the blanks can be filled with primary somatosensory; secondary somatosensory.
