Among different types of land ecosystems like tropical rain forest, temperate forest, tropical savanna and tundra, it is observed from the given data that the productivity of each of them is different. Tropical rain forest has the maximum productivity. Temperate forest has less productivity than tropical rain forest. Tropical savanna has even less and tundra has the least productivity.
The difference in the productivity of these ecosystems is due to basic two abiotic factors; temperature and soil composition. Presence of wet weather or nutrient rich soil or both, like that found in tropical rain forest and temperate forest gives more productivity rather than dry weather or poor soil like that found in tropical savannas or tundra.
